My first animation and updates.

Uh this place has been quiet. Sorry about that school and such took up my time and attention. So yeah last quarter I had a character portfolio which took up all my time for a length of 3 or so weeks. This time it was an animation project.

So my language of animation and film, aka, animation history class had a final project which was to do an animation center around a technique we covered in the class. So we had the option of using stuff like single frame technique, cut outs/shadow puppets, stop motion, and limited animation. Then we had to write up a 5 page term paper on the method or methods we used. I decided to do a limited animation piece and was heavily inspired by the studio UPA. The biggest guide to this project was to animate for the sake of animating because at this point in our studies, the class has no experience working on animations before and this class isn't a technical animation class.

So my animation is called "Simply Miette"

I decided to create a character named Miette which in french is suppose to mean "sweet little thing." Yeah she a little french girl who is just strolling around until she starts hearing music of which she starts to enjoy it.

This isn't finish because I ran out of time. I basically put together everything I had and just went with it. I want to finish this animation and fix up some parts of it.

Anyways I feel that this character has potential and this won't be the last time she appears in an animation. I feel like I can start up a animated web series with her but first I need to come up with a premise.

So yeah.

Anyways my 2nd quarter at The Art Institute SF is done and I have a good 3 week break for the holidays. I plan on gaming a whole lot but I do want to do some art stuff as well. I also want to prepare for the next year because I really want to do a lot next year.

Again sorry for being so quite. Now that I'm done with school for a bit I can do more blog posts. I also want to work on my other blog and start doing some amateur journal writing stuff.
