Drawebruary 2014 Day 27 and 28 and Done.

Day 27 and 28. So ends Drawebruary 2014. The last three days are not so great being  that I needed to work on other things and with Day 28 I have no sleep and am too tired to actually think straight in order to  draw. This month had some great drawing days but I'm a bit disappointed that I didn't get the time to do color pieces each week like with Drawtober 2013.

Drawebruary 2014 Day 25 and 26

Day 25 and 26 because I forgot to post day 25 here. Day 25 is the beginnings of another new character for Yellow Baroness while 26 is a frame from my animation project that I am working on.

Drawebruary 2014 Day 24 Archibald The Rook

Day 24 with another concept character sketch for The Yellow baroness. Meet Archibald one of two Sentinel units in Primrose’s squad and the eldest and most experienced member of the squad. Archibald’s call sign is Rook.

So here is another class with in the Aerial Infantry Unit in the Yellow Baroness world. Sentinels are basically the front line defense who’s main object is to keep their wing mates safe as well as important objectives safe. Their armor is designed to protect them from even heavy armaments and explosives. Though their armor and defense is not perfect, for a skilled interceptor can take them down fast. The down side of Sentinels are their lack of speed, mobility and offense options. They have a machine gun but their only weapon other than that are the horns in their armor and shield.

Originally I wanted the aerial infantry fleet to just consist of different types of wasps and hornets but then I decided to toss that concept in favor of making it more interesting by but all bugs as fair game.

Archibald’s flight suit is based of the Hercules Beetle which are probably my favorite bugs now.

Drawebruary 2014 Day 23 Belladonna, Call Sign Deadly Nightshade

Day 23. I’m really late on this one but yeah, better late than never right? So I decided to do elaborate more on day 22’s sketch by doing a full body sketch of this new character for The Yellow Baroness. Her name shall be Belladonna after a poisonous flower.

Now while Primrose is a interceptor class aerial infantry unit, Belladonna is a specialist class aerial infantry unit. Meaning her strength is undetermined by standard air force assessment. She’s a chemical and explosive weapons expert.

Drawebruary 2014 Day 22 The Yellow Baroness Character Number 2

Day 22 where I come up with a new character for The Yellow Baroness. I still don't have a name for her just yet but she is apart of Primrose's squad and she's going to be a chemical warfare and explosive specialist. She will be modeled of the Giant Asian Wasp which from what I read can actually spit flesh dissolving poison.

I think as far as personality goes, she's is a happy character in fact practically maniacal in happiness and can get so crazy happy it's creepy. I want her to be a character that doesn't look intimidating at all but until you get to know her.

Drawebruary 2014 Day 21 The Yellow Baroness

For day 21 I like to formally introduce my newest character and my newest story idea. So meet Primrose The 1st Lieutenant of the Royal Swarm Aerial Infantry unit, call name “The Yellow Baroness” and the heroine of my high flying story “The Yellow Baroness.” Now the story isn’t completely there but it sort of a retelling of how she got the her call name as she leads her unit into victory against overwhelming odds.
I’m super jazzed and pumped at how well this sketch came out.

I’m so happy. The idea came from playing Kid Icarus Uprising so Primrose also has a machine gun along with her trusty rapier.

Primrose isn’t actually an insect but that is what her flight suit is based off of. Basically her country’s scientist looked at wasps to design a vtol style flight mechanism for infantry and she controls it with that joy stick thing.

Drawebruary 2014 Day 20 Messanger of Justice! (or Destruction) Shyna

Day 20 is a little late but I finally draw Shyna Nera Shyna! *fan squeal* She's from the game Silhouette Mirage one of my favorite PS1 games which I thought I wouldn't like when I first saw it in a PS1 magazine because when I was a kid, the character designs didn't gel with me but as I grew I started to love the whacky designs. This game is amazing in all levels, but it is also pretty challenging like a lot of Treasure games.
